Policies and Regulations

The CAHELP JPA Governance Council, with direction from member school districts (local education agencies) governing boards, is responsible for the review and approval of all SELPA policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines. The policies and procedures adopted by the Governance Council under the authority of the adopting local education agency board have the same status and authority as other board policy. Policies governing the the Desert/Mountain SELPA and Charter SELPA are adopted and included as part of the Local Plan. By participating in the Local Plan, member school districts agree to carry out the responsibilities assigned within the plan, and policies and procedures.
